Boa Shores Boat Club leases the riparian rights from the BSPOIA to install and maintain the piers. The Boa Shores Boat Club governs the lease and rental of the slip spaces, and the open water area.
You must remain a member in good standing of the BSPOIA to be a member of the Boa Shores Boat Club.
All mooring equipment, watercraft, auger poles, etc., occupying Boa Shores waters must display a BSPOIA red sticker with a legible member number.
As stated in general rule 16, all watercraft, mooring equipment, and boat lifts in a slip, must not encroach on the adjacent slip space in any way. Each member lease agreement entitles them to one slip ( 9.5 Ft x 29 ft.), equal to half the distance between catwalks. Each rental agreement entitles them to one slip, and term of one season.
BSPOIA members in good standing only are eligible to remain or be added to the waiting list to lease/rent a boat slip. BSPOIA members may be added to the waiting list to lease/rent a slip by contacting the Boa Shores Boat Club and giving a request in writing to an officer or by mail,(to ensure that an accurate date is noted)
Those on the waiting list will remain on the list until a boat slip lease is available. They will have the opportunity to rent a slip for 1 season, by seniority from the waiting list.
Upon availability, by seniority from the waiting list, the member will be offered a slip lease. The member can accept and lease a slip space.
Members who refuse a lease will be moved to the bottom of the waiting list.
